Blackberry Flip Phone a new Frontier for RIM
Is RIM working on a Blackberry flip-phone? That’s what BoyGeniusReports.com is saying, and they have the pictures to prove it.
Sure there are already fine flip-phones compatible to Blackberry Connect, such as Samsung’s T719. But why go for a Samsung with Blackberry Connect when you can go for a real RIM, Blackberry phone that folds into your shirt pocket like a $100 bill?
Judging by the pictures on BoyGeniusReports.com it is a rather ugly phone. Comments across the web seem to back that opinion. But hey, this is only RIM’s first crack at this particular form factor. Give ‘em a break.
Gone is the QWERTY keypad that made RIM so popular. I can’t help but think that RIM might be diluting the Blackberry name with diversification.
If RIM really is moving into the flip-phone market, it speaks volumes to its commitment making a stand in the consumer market. That means you iPhone!
Obviously RIM isn’t saying a word about it. Genuine sneak-peak at an upcoming Blackberry or Photoshopped fake? You decide!
