Juno, Aliens VS Predator Offer Digital Copy
JunoTwo notable DVD and Blu-ray releases this week from 20th Century Fox offer Digital Copy. Fox’s new feature allows you to copy the complete movie to your laptop or iPod. But you won’t get a digital copy of Juno if you’re in Canada, honest to blog! Fox says to Canadians: No way Jose!
One movie was an Oscar winner and may have rekindled interest in indie film. The other is an overblown action movie but gets the nod for gory alien massacres. Both of this week’s Fox DVD and Blu-ray releases offer digital copy. The feature lets you sync a copy of the film via iTunes or Windows Media Player. It’s great to see the man calming down on the Digital Rights Management but there are still restrictions as any Canadian can attest.
Due to licensing issues digital copies of the movies aren’t available in Canada yet. Unfortunately for Canadian customers Fox gave no warning that the digital copies wouldn’t work and the support number isn’t accessible from Canada.
Next time Fox, a friendly little marketing approved message to Canadian customers would have been nice.

Don't worry, monthly PSN fees are in the works when Mr. Kutaragi's master plan kicks and PS3 really takes off in three or four years from now when the world realizes how superior it really is... then our user base will be close enough to Xbox Live that we'll begin billing you a monthly.
Dammit people, we're Sony, not the United Way!
