Beware of cheap Wii Mote add-ons

Wii moteWii moteIt was rumored recently that Lucas Arts wanted to develop a lightsaber add-on for Nintendo’s Wii controller. But the Wii - mote Lightsaber won’t see the light of day, apparently Nintendo is worried about potential injuries.

You’ll see people waving the Wii controller around a little over-enthusiastically at any Wii-party. But add a flimsy attachment and you’ve got a potentially dangerous weapon that could damage property and ruin TVs. Just look at what this kid did recently.

Please pay more attention to the video. There are reasons that it could be a fake, there are reasons that it could b real. The sound of glass breaking was NOT the tv, as you can if you look carefully enough the tv was fine. It was the vertical glass case beside the tv that was broken, and those do sound like that.

i'm pretty sure that the glass that broke was the door on the tv cabinet beside the tv. you can see it in the last frame. guess that's not fake. you can see the tv is still on in the corner of the shot.

Yeah, the mom would probably have been a little more pissed had it actually been the tv

You are right to be critical, but I don't think it was supposed to be the TV tube breaking. Looks like it was the glass door on the console. Didn't look fake to me.
  5. Wayde says:
You're probably right Tim. If it's real, it should be a layer of glass in front of the TV.

But I've gotta think mom would be like... WTF!!
