The beta is for Fileplanet members and it's free for the members. If you are not a member it costs 5 dollars to be a member. It does not cost 5 dollar to play Age of Conan beta. Fileplanets 10-20 million members are probably happy about the deal. People that want to try the game for free before they buy it are probably not so happy and will cry all over the web like little babies. Crybabies should keep on playing WoW and let us adults decapitate each other in Hyboria. PS Think of it as a Fileplanet preview if you manage to get over your self pity over not being able to freely and for free play the game. Good luck though - I've been downloading it since monday and teh 12 Gig file is still going...Only thing worse than a 12 Gig file coming through at 40k/s is when it gets a "Network Error" and you have to "click to retry" but of course this happens at night and you miss 5 hours of downloading... They say that it sucks anyways, even if you CAN get it to load and run for more than 10 min, the "worse than Vanguard" bugginess makes a crappy game look hopeless...
