New MacBook and MacBook Pro get torn apart
Since Apple released the new MacBook and MacBook Pros yesterday the folks at Anantech were eager to get busy tearing them apart. What's so new about the new MacBooks? It's called the Penryn processor that operates up to 2.6GHz with up to 6MB of cache. You can get an up close look at one below.

The engineers at Aanandtech tear down computers - that's just what they do! They exposed the MacBook Air's Intel chipset and now they've already torn down the new MacBook Pro.
Pictured here is the old MacBook Pro Merom chip on the left and the newly upgraded Penryn CPU with its 45nm architecture on the right.
The new MacBooks will run just over a $1,000 and the MacBook Pros $2,000.

You don't need to have a fileplanet subscription anymore - they opened it up to all registered users of fileplanet. Good luck though - I've been downloading it since monday and teh 12 Gig file is still going...Only thing worse than a 12 Gig file coming through at 40k/s is when it gets a "Network Error" and you have to "click to retry" but of course this happens at night and you miss 5 hours of downloading... They say that it sucks anyways, even if you CAN get it to load and run for more than 10 min, the "worse than Vanguard" bugginess makes a crappy game look hopeless...
