Nine Inch Nails may have the best attitude toward online music distribution of any popular band. Today the group announced the free download of their new album “The Slip”. What more could we ask while sipping a Mexican beer in salute to the nation’s holiday. 

Nine Inch Nails is giving away every track of its 44 minute album with ten songs. Fans may have had a preview with Echoplex and Discipline already going on the NIN iLike page. Now the wait is over for the rest of the album.

Go to the Nine Inch Nails Slip site and leave an email address. The website will then send you an email that includes your link to download the whole album. The process will probably take some time now as word is getting out.

These are torrential times for online music. Radiohead has decided not to go do another pay-as-you-please online album and now Metallica has decided their next album might be a free online release.
